Limecube Release

This is one of our biggest releases ever. From a completely rebuilt website editor experience to a brand-new image editor, smarter AI tools, fresh elements, and a cleaner account area — Version 11.0.0 brings a huge number of improvements designed to make building and managing your Limecube website faster, easier, and more powerful than ever.

Website Editor — Rebuilt Experience

  • Searchable Add Elements panel and new editor toolbar. You can now find any element by typing its name instead of scrolling through a long list. The panel stays out of your way by default and can be docked or minimised. A new toolbar gives you quick access to Pages, Files, Styles, Navigation, Page Settings, and Shop — all in one place. Confirmation prompts throughout the editor now match the builder's design for a cleaner, more consistent feel.
  • Rebuilt Pages panel. Managing your site's pages is now done through a modern sliding panel. You can see your full page tree at a glance, instantly filter pages by typing, create new pages (including AI pages and blog posts) from a single menu, duplicate or delete pages, toggle pages between active and draft, and jump straight to Navigation editing — all without leaving the editor.
  • Rebuilt Page Settings panel. Page Settings now lives in the same modern side panel as the Pages panel. Update your page title, SEO details, Open Graph settings, and blog post settings in a clean tabbed layout. Changes are reflected in the editor as you go, and a background image toggle makes it clearer when a background image is active.
  • Rebuilt Add New Page flow. Creating a new page, blog post, or AI-generated page now happens in a streamlined panel with a clear layout picker, parent page selection, and AI options — all in one place. The editor navigates directly to your new page the moment it's created.
  • Protection against editing conflicts between tabs. If you ever have the editor open in two browser tabs at once, Limecube now detects when one tab's changes might overwrite another's. You'll see a clear prompt to reload or keep your current version — so you're always in control and never silently lose work.
  • Section alignment expanded. Under Section Settings, you can now choose Default, Top, Centre, or Bottom vertical alignment for any section — giving you more precise control over how your content sits within each section of your page.

New & Improved Elements

  • New Image Accordion layout in Advanced Content. A large image sits on one side of the page; a set of expandable headings sits on the other. As visitors open each heading, the main image switches to match — a polished, interactive way to walk people through features, services, or steps without a wall of text. Add your items, each with a title, description, and image, and choose whether the image appears on the left or right.
  • New Hero element with 5 background types. The Hero element now supports five dramatic multi-slide background styles: Image Transitions (with WebGL effects), Wave Motion, Scale Hover, Diagonal Gallery, and a classic Slider with fade, slide, zoom, and crossfade modes. Every slide can carry its own title, subtitle, description, and call-to-action buttons. Slides can be dragged to reorder within the editor.
  • New Spotlight element. A beautiful responsive tile grid where clicking a tile smoothly expands it into a full-screen detail view — perfect for team profiles, portfolios, or project showcases. Choose between Split Panes and Cinematic detail layouts, add a tag filter bar so visitors can browse by category, and style everything to match your brand.
  • Grid Gallery rebuilt. The Grid Gallery has a modern settings panel with tabs for Settings, Images, Tags, and Styles. The lightbox has been rebuilt with smooth navigation, a gradient caption overlay, and better accessibility. Tag filtering and layout options are all easier to manage.
  • Heading element rebuilt. The Heading element now has a modern settings panel with easier control over effects (text reveal, rotating text, parallax, underline, highlight, and neon sign), alignment, heading tag, and a completely redesigned colour picker with palette swatches, a colour gradient, HEX/RGB input, and eyedropper.
  • Maps element rebuilt with multi-location support. You can now pin multiple addresses on a single map. Each location gets its own name, address, and optional coordinates. The map automatically fits all your pins on screen. A warning now appears during the build process if you haven't set up your own Google Maps key — so you can sort it before going live.
  • Buttons element rebuilt. Each button now has its own independent styling — shape, fill, size, colours, and hover animation — making it easy to create a primary/secondary button pairing. A second button can be added with its own settings, and spacing between buttons adjusts automatically.
  • Testimonials element rebuilt with 5 layouts. Choose from Carousel, Stacked, Grid, Featured, or Video Wall layouts. Each testimonial can include an image or a video (uploaded or from YouTube/Vimeo). Style settings — including card backgrounds, title and text colours, and sizes — are now managed per element rather than site-wide.
  • Separator element rebuilt. The Separator now has a clear settings panel where you can control line style, thickness, width, colour, alignment, and spacing above and below. There's also an option to hide it on mobile.
  • Video element rebuilt. Upload your own video files (MP4 or WebM) directly, or embed from YouTube or Vimeo — all from one clean settings panel. Choose your aspect ratio (16:9, 4:3, square, vertical 9:16, or original), set width and alignment, and control autoplay, loop, mute, and other playback options. YouTube Shorts links are now automatically recognised and displayed in the correct vertical format.
  • Search element rebuilt. The Search element now automatically shows results on the page you've set as your results page — no manual toggle required. A one-click option creates a results page for you if you don't have one. You can customise the placeholder text, submit button style and label, and control which content types (Pages, Blog, Shop) are included in results.
  • Menu (food menu) element rebuilt with 4 layouts. The food/services menu element now offers Classic, Dotted, Card, and Showcase layouts. Card and Showcase layouts support per-item images. The Showcase layout features circular images, centred text, and an optional "image sticks out of card" effect. Schema.org structured data is now included automatically to help search engines understand your menu content.
  • PayPal Button element rebuilt. The PayPal button now uses the modern PayPal SDK, supports separate production and sandbox credentials, and adds toggles for Pay Later, Venmo, and card payment options. The button label field is now accessible in the settings for the first time.
  • Booking Engines element rebuilt. An alphabetically organised tile picker makes it easier to find and configure your booking engine. HubSpot Meetings is now supported as a new option. A clear placeholder card appears if the configuration is incomplete, so you always know what needs attention.
  • Music & Podcasts element rebuilt with 9 platforms. Six new platforms have been added: Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, Bandcamp, Mixcloud, SoundCloud, and YouTube. Audio playback issues that were silently blocking some music from playing have been resolved.
  • Integrations element rebuilt. A clean tile picker lets you choose your integration — including Custom Code, HubSpot Forms, Job Adder, Mailchimp, and pre-built sections for your site. HubSpot Forms is newly supported.
  • Shop Products element rebuilt. The Shop Products element now uses the same modern settings panel as the rest of the rebuilt elements, with cleaner controls for categories, layout, display options, and spacing.
  • Calculators and Charts elements rebuilt. Both elements now use the modern panel system. Business-only elements now appear clearly in the Add Elements panel for all users, with a visible lock indicator rather than being hidden entirely.
  • Before & After Gallery rebuilt. Before and After slide settings are now in collapsible cards for a cleaner layout. The description below the gallery now matches the gallery's width automatically.
  • Table of Contents rebuilt — now works across your whole page. Previously the Table of Contents could only index headings in the section it sat in. You can now choose to scan the current section, the whole page, or everything below the element's position. The active heading highlight as you scroll is also smoother and more reliable.
  • Blog Feed element rebuilt with new layouts and features. Choose from six layouts including a new Card Overlay option (full-bleed image with gradient overlay). A Featured Post highlight gives one post a ribbon, outline, and larger title. New hover effects (zoom, lift, fade) and an image-required filter are also available. A Styles tab lets you override card, title, excerpt, and link colours per element.
  • Blog Categories List and Blog Tags List elements rebuilt. Managing your blog categories and tags from within the editor now uses the same clean panel used in Page Settings, with a more consistent and easier experience.
  • New Hamburger Side Panel header style. A seventh header style is now available in the Navigation Manager: a slide-out side panel from the right, with auto-numbered top-level menu items, a blurred backdrop, and a footer area showing your phone number and custom text. Compatible with Header Search.
  • 30+ new element icons. Every element in the Add Elements panel now has its own hand-drawn icon, making it much easier to spot the element you're looking for at a glance.

Built-In Image Editor

  • A full image editor is now built into Limecube. Edit images directly inside the platform — no external apps needed. The editor opens full-screen and includes one-click background removal (great for product shots, headshots, and logos), freehand and ratio-locked cropping (Square, 16:9, 4:3, portrait), rotation and flip, ten one-tap filter presets (Vivid, Matte, Grayscale, Sepia, Warm, Cool, Faded, Dramatic, Vintage, and more), sliders for brightness, contrast, saturation, warmth, highlights, shadows, blur, and vignette, text overlay, and up to 20 steps of undo and redo. Your original image is always kept safe.

File Manager Rebuilt

  • The File Manager has been completely rebuilt. The new File Manager is faster and easier to navigate, with the same familiar tabs for your uploaded images and free stock images — now in a modern, responsive layout. The experience of finding, selecting, and managing images is significantly smoother.
  • AI Image Generator built into the File Manager. Create professional images for your website in seconds without leaving the editor. Choose a content type (photos, illustrations, backgrounds, product shots, and more), pick a style, describe what you want in plain language, and hit Generate. Images appear in seconds and can be added to your page instantly. Preview any result full size, use Advanced options to guide colour tone or upload a reference image, or generate variations of an image you like. Credit cost is shown before you generate.
  • New lower-cost AI image model added. A lighter, more affordable image model is now available alongside the higher-tier option. The credit cost for each model is shown upfront in the generator, so you can choose the right option for each image without any surprises.

AI Improvements

  • More reliable AI across the platform. Limecube's AI features — including sign-up and AI page creation — now use Anthropic (Claude) as the default AI provider. This change was made because the previous provider had been experiencing a significant number of errors, causing disruptions during sign-up and page creation. Switching providers means a more reliable and consistent experience for you.

Account Area & Dashboard

  • Refreshed dashboard and new My Account page. The home screen you land on when you log in has been redesigned to be cleaner and easier to navigate. A new My Account page lets you update your name and email, change your password, and view your billing details — all in one place.
  • Customise your AI chatbot's appearance. You can now style your AI chatbot to match your brand. Set an accent colour, choose the colour of visitor message bubbles, write a custom greeting, and upload your own floating chat button icon (PNG, JPG, GIF, SVG, or WebP). The header text automatically adjusts between light and dark so it stays readable on any accent colour you choose.

SEO & Content Tools

  • llms.txt — help AI assistants find and cite your site. A new tab in the SEO Manager lets you manage your site's llms.txt file — a standard that AI tools like ChatGPT and Google's AI answers use to understand and reference your content. Limecube auto-generates one from your live page tree, or you can write your own. Available to Business plan customers, with full access during trial.
  • Blog posts now show a "last updated" date — and report it to search engines. When you edit a blog post more than a week after it was first published, an "Updated on" date automatically appears next to the original "Posted on" date. This freshness signal is also sent in every format search engines look at — helping your updated content rank better and get cited more often by AI assistants. The date only updates when you actually change the post. You can turn this off in Settings → Blog.
  • Blog post dates and author names now display reliably. On some sites these were missing even when the settings said they should show. They now appear correctly by default, and the "Show date" and "Show author" switches in Settings → Blog work as expected.
  • Sitemap now reports accurate last-modified dates. Previously your sitemap told search engines every page changed on the same day, which caused Google to ignore it. It now reports true update dates, helping search engines find your genuinely fresh content faster.
  • SEO Manager keyword tools — easier to navigate. The keyword research tools in the SEO Manager now share a consistent tabbed layout, letting you move smoothly between Keyword Search, Page Mapping, and Categories without losing your place.
  • SEO Manager visual refresh. The SEO Manager's screens and controls have been tidied up with more consistent form controls, filters, and layout — making the tools quicker and clearer to use. Your SEO data and settings are unchanged.

Settings & Admin Area

  • Settings area refreshed. The Settings section has a cleaner layout and sidebar, making it more straightforward to find and change your site settings. The design is now consistent with the SEO Manager and the rest of your admin area. Everything is in the same place — just clearer to navigate.
  • Popup Manager expanded with 5 layouts and email capture. The Popup Manager is now a separate, dedicated section of your admin area. Choose from five popup layouts: text-only, text with image on the left, text with image on the top, slide-in corner, and email capture. The email capture popup collects visitor emails and sends them to you automatically. Style your popup with six colour pickers, a corner radius setting, and CTA button options — all using your site's palette colours.
  • Shop improvements — Pay by Invoice option. Shops can now operate without requiring Stripe to be set up. A Pay by Invoice option lets customers place orders online and pay later — ideal for businesses where customers collect in-store, or for regular clients who prefer invoiced payment.
  • Dedicated product page for your shop. Your shop now has a fixed, protected product page that works like the order confirmation page — you can't accidentally delete it, and the product details area is locked in place. You can add your own sections above and below the product information, such as banners, promotional content, or cross-selling sections.

Domain Management

  • New end-to-end Domain Manager.
