Discover Limecube's latest release
Below is a list of release notes covering what is new and improved in the past few months. It is a larger release, and covered a variety of infrastructure improvements, new features, speed improvements, general security updates, and some bug fixes. We have also launched GPT-5 within the AI throughout Limecube. This has been particularly beneficial in the chatbot, as OpenAIs assistant which the chatbot is trained on, had become particularly 'dumb' with their old assistant.
There were also quite major changes to the signup process. While not so relevant to the day-to-date work on your site, as many of our users create extra sites from their dashboard, you'll find some nice new options and themes.
General Improvements
- Separator has a new hide on mobile option. Separators can be great for breaking up content on desktop, but on the mobile view create too much space.
- GPT-5 has been implemented throughout Limecube now as the default.
- Integrations Custom Code improvement - for business plan users, you now have an option to click advanced on the 'Custom Code' option under Integrations. With these options split in 3, it gives greater flexibility for what types of 3rd party code (including code generated by ChatGPT) you can add to your page, allowing more flexibility to create your own mini-apps in the page.
- Forms element -
- Gradients can be added to form backgrounds, giving you a more design flexibility with forms.
- A rounded corners setting has also been added, for when you have a background colour or image on the form.
- Chatbot - An upgrade to the 'assistant' API from OpenAI + the addition of GPT-5, has made the chatbot much smarter at reasoning, and provides better replies. It can also handle greater 'context', which means where it couldn't find information in your pages due to content limits, it is now able to handle find more content.
- New banner styles have been added to pre-filled sections.
Box Improvements
- A new setting added to box group settings for 'auto' scroll, also allowing you to control the scrolling speed.
- Gradients can be added to boxes individually, giving you a lot more design flexibility with boxes.
- Styles have been moved to a style tab, improving UX.
- New size and style heading options have been added, to better control not only the size, but also greater control for SEO.
Sections improvements
- Sections now have specific top/bottom spacing that can be set for mobile only. While Limecube takes care of most responsive aspects naturally for mobile, there are some instances where these setting will give greater design flexibility.
- Parallax has been added as a new option to section backgrounds. If you use a background image in a section setting Parallax on it, gives a nicer effect when scrolling.
Flex sections Improvements
Flex sections have new mobile only options:
Heading element improvements
- For heading effects, we introduced radio buttons to switch between 2 options:
- 'Automatic' - this will be on by default, so that everything is in one field and the AI writer can work without adjustment.
- ‘Custom’ - when you select this option, the one text field switches to 2 fields (or 3 depending on the heading type), so you can have more control depending on text length.
- Addition of different colour palette options for different heading styles. Splitting up colours in different words of your headings can great a nicer visual feeling, as well as give more impact to specific parts of your heading.
Charts and Calculators
2 new elements have been added for charts and calculators. We'll continue to add more to each list as time goes on.
