Discover Limecube's latest release
Below is a list of release notes covering what is new and improved in this release. It is a larger release, and covered a variety of improvements, new features, speed improvements, general security updates, and some bug fixes.
Three new heading animations can be found under the heading element:
Image element improvements
- A new animation: Parallax is a new animation option on the image. This is a nicer animated effect for giving your page life, and coupled with the 'extra image' feature, makes the page look even more interesting on scroll.
- Structural changes have been made to the image element with new tabs created in the image element to tidy up options that aren't always used as standard:
- 'Extra Image/Shape' tab - all related options have been moved into this tab.
- 'Mobile options' - all related options have been moved into this tab, except the extra image options for mobile stay in the 'Extra Image/Shape' tab.
- 'Extra Image/Shape' now has options for:
- Rounded corners, to help match the main image, and/or to allow for more additional interesting designs.
- Addition of an ‘Edit image’ link that opens that image editor.
Showcase Grid
This is a brand new element suitable for such things as teams/people profiles, portfolios, projects etc.
General
- Making a page active, and publishing a page can now be found by right clicking on a page, on the pages panel.
- Improvements have been made to the video element, so that auto-play videos only start playing when moving to the viewable section of the page.
- Form emails:
- now automatically insert the first name of the user submitting the form to the thank you email sent to that person. This will only work if the form has the default name field.
- There is a new option available for turning off the user copy. When selected, this will only send an email to admin, and not the user.
- A delete site function has been added to the dashboard next to each site, for quick site deletion.
- Flex sections have new mobile options, to allow you to hide columns on those flex sections on mobile.
- New fields have been added to the customer profile screen to enter your tax identification number for invoices.
- Billing details for name and address now appear under the user info tab. Once filled out, these appear in your invoices.
- Smooth scroll - We've introduced smooth scroll to all sites, which gives a smoother page scrolling experience for sites.
Shop Improvements
There have been some new larger additions and improvements to the shop:
- A new 'Settings' tab added to the shop. This gives you the ability to:
- Customise the various order emails sent to your customers.
- Customise the message on the success page after purchase.
- The success page now shows a summary of the order details.
- The addition of a user login area. The user login area allows for users to login via a OTP (one-time password) to view their orders, and manage their details. It also gives them a faster way to check out with their details being remembered. We have opted for an OTP login method, as this is considered more secure than a password, and so helps protect yours, and your shoppers security.
- New Regions - Regions can be setup and managed under the Shop > 'Settings' tab. Regions are useful for grouping countries to manage the cost of shipping more easily. While the regions feature allows you to create your own groupings, we have already created some default region groupings to simplify this.
Each region now shows under the country shipping dropdown when setting up shipping.
AI Blog Improvements
- We have added Anthropic Claude as an option to choose from when creating blogs with AI. This will allow you to then choose between OpenAI (ChatGPT) or Claude as your writing model. This addition comes as some people prefer the writing style of Claude. An important note though: Claude writes much longer articles than OpenAI, and by choosing 'Long' for the length of article, it can often write an article too long for most people to want to read. Whereas choosing Medium, will often write a longer article than OpenAI's 'Long' articles.
- New article format available: Storytelling
- A new 'Point of View' option for writing with these options:
- First Person Singular (I, me, my, mine)
- First Person Plural (we, us, our, ours)
- Second Person (you, your, yours)
- Third Person (he, she, it, they)
- Meta title and description - these are automatically written and inserted to the meta fields as part of the blog generation.
