This release brings a fantastic range of improvements to Limecube — from a smoother sign-up experience and smarter website editor, to stronger safeguards when managing your sites and a faster, more reliable platform under the hood. Here's everything that's new and better for you.

Website Editor Improvements

• Faster page editor loading: Opening the website editor is now noticeably quicker. We've streamlined the way the editor loads its resources, significantly reducing the number of files it needs to fetch when you open a page. The result is a snappier, more responsive editing experience — especially if you're working on larger or more complex pages.
• Google Maps element now supports your own API key: You can now enter your own Google Maps API key directly on any individual Google Maps element within your page, giving you greater control. This overrides the default key set in your site settings, making it easy to use different keys across different pages or projects — ideal for agencies and professionals managing multiple sites.
• Menu display improvements: We've addressed an issue where certain pages could appear incorrectly in your site's navigation menu. Your menu now reflects your intended structure more accurately, so visitors always see the right pages in the right places.

Blog Improvements

• Blog indexing works correctly for scheduled posts: We identified and resolved an issue where scheduled blog posts could be incorrectly marked as "noindex," meaning they might not appear in search engine results once published. Your blog posts — including ones scheduled for future publishing — will now be indexed properly, helping your content get the visibility it deserves.

Domain Registration

• Clearer guidance when registering a domain name: If you enter characters that aren't allowed in a domain name, you'll now see a helpful, plain-English validation message letting you know exactly what's acceptable. Domains may only contain letters, numbers, and hyphens — and we'll tell you that clearly so you can correct your entry quickly and move on.

SSL & Security Reliability

• More reliable SSL certificate generation: We've improved the process that generates SSL certificates for websites, addressing edge cases that could occasionally cause delays or issues. This means your site is more likely to go live securely and smoothly, without the need for manual intervention.

Sign-Up Experience

• A refreshed experience during site creation: When you sign up and your new website is being built, you'll now see a brand-new, look and feel during the process. It's a smaller but more delightful touch that makes the wait feel more polished and on-brand as your site comes to life.

Site Management & Safety

• Stronger confirmation when deleting a site: To help protect you from accidentally removing a site, we've added a required confirmation step to the delete process. You'll now need to type the word "delete" into a field before the action can proceed — giving you an extra moment to be sure. It's simple, quick, and could save you from an unwanted mistake.
• Active subscription warning on site deletion: If the site you're about to delete has an active subscription, you'll now see a clear warning notice right in the confirmation screen. This means you'll never be caught off guard deleting a site that still has billing attached to it.

Performance & Reliability

• Improved error detection behind the scenes: We've significantly improved our ability to detect and respond to issues that might occasionally affect your experience — including JavaScript-related hiccups that previously could go unnoticed. This means our team can identify and resolve any problems faster than ever, often before you even notice them.
• Smarter monitoring and faster response times: We've upgraded our internal monitoring tools to give our team better visibility into the health of the platform in real time. The benefit for you is a more stable, consistently performing website builder, with issues caught and addressed more proactively.
